Who is Laura Costello art?

Hello and welcome to my portfolio website! My name is Laura and I’ve been an artist my entire life. After graduating from Emmanuel College in Boston with my B.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in drawing and painting, I worked as a graphic designer for a year at a screen printing company. The skills I learned were invaluable, but I knew I wasn’t completely fulfilled.

That was until I was asked to paint a mural for a gluten-free micro bakery that was opening up in Bolton, Connecticut (Charhause Cookie). That one mural led to another mural which led to another mural which led me to where I am now!

I found myself too busy to keep both full time jobs and decided to take a chance on myself and start my own business, Laura Costello Art. Since starting, I’ve been able to use my former experience as a graphic designer and combine it with my love of painting through the creation of murals.

While I still occasionally create logos (such as Dad’s Dough’s), I prioritize residential and commercial murals for those looking to elevate their spaces with art that can bring communities together (check out the Mac Stack mural on Charhause Cookie’s Instagram to see what I mean). I believe art is more than something nice to look at; art should feel like an experience. My style of art is one that seamlessly integrates itself into its environment, yet leaves a lasting impact.
